Can we have an option to completely remove the map? Especially the minimap that stays on screen. It's been spoiling secret walls for me for the 3 floors... If I miss a secret, it's because I didn't look hard enough. I shouldn't be able to see a hallway that continues through a wall on the map. I'm the type of person that will pull out graph paper and draw the map myself, I'm sure I speak for a lot of players of Dungeon Master type games.

I have to agree with OP - mainly in Crypt it was a big spoiler that you could see hidden hallways so you immediately look for some secret buttons or anything. Big spoiler.

Also the spoiler is that even in hard mode you can see the enemies on the map and prepare for then behind the corner. You should be warned only by the sound, and thats it :)

It is tough thing. It was implemented this way but little confusing as players did't know why they are in the battle. Then we decided to implement simple rule: enemies are always displayed on minimap + enemies that are not on minimap can't hold you in the battle. With all downsides (like you can snipe them etc). Even with this some people do not even know why they are in the combat.

What if you changed the message indicating that combat started, and instead used something like "X has entered combat with you" where X is the monster name.
That way the players knows that some monster is nearby, and that's why they are in combat.

On mobile the flags are very handy and we do not plan to remove them, however, we believe on PC would be better to get rid of them. We plan to make some sort of "battle console" with history of actions (optional - with some shortcut that can turn it on and off). What would you think?

Oh and I didn't reply to your question :-) Such a text doesn't fit in the space inside flag, however, it can works on PC battle console.
